Have just read the Autocar review, JOY!

Alfa Romeo 4C first drive review Review | Autocar

Weird thing, the autocar features a car with a plate ES 992 VB yet on line it becomes ES 226 (this was use in other reviews).

Anybody else see the reviews in the Saturday Daily Telegraph and The Sunday Times this weekend? DT gave it 5 stars and the ST 4 stars. Both said that it could be the saving of Alfa and was a getting back to ARs roots.

Don't know about saving Alfa (although its a step in the right direction) All I know is I'm gonna have to do some saving..........
Don't much like the steering wheel though......

Got to love some of the silly comments on the Auto express site! Pure jealousy!

Cracking motor, porsche used the same tac tics by doing the boxster as a compromise to the more expensive 911, this Could work well for alfa.

If Alfa is moving up market though I can't see it as being a plus for the Fiat group as a whole. They already have Ferrari and Masserati why would they need another small exclusive brand. Alfa need to be a producer of exclusive but affordable sporty quality cars for the masses and the 4C is not that - here in Ireland anyway.

There is a massive gap between Ferrari/Massarti and Fiat. Think Buggati and Skoda. Golf and Polo etc is Guiletta and Mito, Alfa Romeo need a Audi type product to help plug the gap and attract the buyers of BMW, Merc and Audi.

Its a difficult job as its not a level playing field with all the financial assistance that the German manufactures get.

The impressive thing is that even german car magazines praise the car and they are notorious for only liking german products.
