Alfa ALMOST sets an auction record

Sold by Bonhams at the Goodwood Revival today. Ex-Tazio Nuvolari Alfa Romeo 8C-35 - went for £5.3m.

That's £5.9m with premium and the second highest price ever achieved at a European auction

Now I just need to clear a space in the garage. Or get one of those really good covers off eBay...

Alfa missed a trick. they should be selling their old cars. Can you imagine what a rehash of the classics will look like in todays standards

Speaking of the original 8C, it gives me the chance to post this from last year, which to my mind is much better than anything auction related (sorry OP!):
