Cry Like A Baby No more waving from me

It's sad but my waving days are now over, i've just jumped ship and chopped in my GT for a Citroen C4 Coupe. It's not got the power but hopefully it will be much lighter on my wallet. Thanks for all of the advice contained in the forums, unfortunately all the common faults did rear their heads and empty my wallet. Ahh well, I've done it now; many years from now I will, no doubt look back with rose tinted spectacles.

Why did you sell the GT if you spent so much money fitting new parts to it?

But .. yes at least you had one. I reckon you'll be back when the charms of the C4 wear off..

Why did i sell?
72k service coming up, belts etc, lower wishbone banging away, seat cable broke and worst of all new clutch last yearand now feels like the dmf is on the way out. To chop the car in, cost me 1500, the results is i`ve got a 4yr car, 29,000 on the clock, 120 hp, looks a tad different to the golfs, astra etc. (i admit it does not have that feeling and i dont look bacK at it, as i walk away)
if the funds ever come my way, i may buy an alfa again, I am allready missing that Alfa feeling. If i was a single man, no kids uni fee`s or big family shop and cloths etc etc to buy, i would still have the gt.
After i picked the new car up, I saw more alfa`s than i have done in a good while, just to rub salt into the wounds.
A sad Sad day.

I wouldn't be so sure that the c4 coupe will be lighter on your wallet

My bro in law has one, and that has cost him a small fortune in repairs

A/c condenser plus like work
Window regulator
Bulbs , lots of them

I had a C4 Coupe a couple of cars ago.

Mine was the 1.6 HDI (110) VTR+

Was a good car to be fair, comfy with confident handling and different eye catching looks like you say.

Mine was chipped to 140bhp and i did 48,000 miles in about 18month in it without any problems (except for ruining my clutch on the way back from having it chipped! had a new std clutch fitted and never had an issue)

Which engine/spec etc you had? You certainly get alot of car for your money. Enjoy it
