So is this a good thing or a bad thing? Are they trying to take over from AO and other forums? Sean, you have some "history" there, tell us what's going on.......

So many bloomin' forums.......

Some people have told me that it's to do with a separate forum for GTV/Spider owners, where someone called Keith Farrington ran but sadly passed away and the forum died with him. Some other people are pointing towards the owner of sportsmaserati that his setting it up.

I personally am very interested in the new forum as I've totally had enough of AO with the heavy handed mods etc, only on here now just for the runs and the GTA section

Is the mods heavy handed? What did they do?

You mean like letting you return under a different name despite it being against the rules, and not giving your identity away to the people you'd previously wound up on the forum?

What a bunch of gits we are to be sure.

I used to be on SportsAlfa years and years ago, but it quickly faded away not long after I joined (2008ish when I got my Spider) presumably when the site owner passed away (I didn't know this.)

Well, have fun there, Scott I'm sure you'll be much happier there than you were here

Well on this bit you were very kind about letting me back, but I know at least one other person with [B]two[B]accounts running side by side

I'm more on about closing of thread which contain good technical information about someone's car, yes he was selling it and put a link up but it contained very handy information, deleting certain posts as its not helping the actual thread too.

Sorry, let me get this right, Scott, you are basing your entire interpretation of heavy-handed moderation on what happened in one thread on one day? Not on all the times we've helped you and other forum members every day? Don't you think that's a tad out of balance?

I'm starting to have a Monty Python "What did the Roman's ever do for us?" moment here!

There are other times but I honestly can't remember them

Anyway back to topic as this ain't a mod bashing thread!

Some guys are saying that this new forum is to do with the old GTV website ran by Keith, who passed away and the site went with him but some people are pointing towards the the guy who runs sportsmaserati is doing this new one. I think it's all very interesting

If you can't remember them then I suggest that they couldn't have been "all that" Glad it's not a mod bashing thread

There's nothing wrong with there being other forums out there, I run another one myself, or you pointing another out, but spamming this forum with links to another forum (as someone else was doing yesterday) really isn't on.

I hope this one does well; everyone always had good things to say about the old SportsAlfa

This deffo not spamming

I never knew the old sportsalfa forum so intrigued about this one, I'm a member of alfadriver but I'm always having issues logging in so can't post

I'm also a member on like 4-5 different forums too so it's hard not to compare one place to the other.
