A lovely S zagato

Arriving at the Channel tunnel terminal in Calais, I parked next to the "Alfaholics racing" van & trailer owned by the Banks family.
Of course being nosey, and wondering what was hidden away in the very impressive enclosed trailer, I went and asked.
Inside was a beautiful 60's S Zagato. Apparently this car had some repair work done in Italy.
I wasn't aware of this model until I saw it....A truly beautiful car!

Yes I know, but only the small side door was open and it was too dark in the trailer to take any effective pics that would have shown the whole car.
I just had the privilege of seeing it by poking my head through the door and looking both ways.

Have a look on their web site - I suspect it's the car shown on there. Here you go http://www.alfaholics.com/our-cars/c...ca/photoshoot/

Lightweight version of the Giulietta Sprint. Typical Zagato styling, looks like nothing else, unique but not necessarily beautiful. Highly effective though, I think the whole car weighed in at something like 750kg and with a relatively slippery shape it cleaned up in the then popular 1300 classes.
