Coming back to the dark side

Glad to see this site is more active than ever. I was a 147 owner up until about 4 years ago when the inevitable selespeed gremlins came to visit and I sold her before things got too expensive.

I've since had a Skoda Octavia TDI, very reliable if not exciting, and Mrs Corbo drives a Fiat 500. It's time for her to change cars and she wants an Alfa GT.

We're looking at a 58 plate Lusso GT, 34k on the clock, 1.9JTDM Diesel, blue with tan leather. Alloys are a bit scuffed and there is a small tear in the leather which will be easily sorted. My only concern is that I will be the 4th owner. The agreed price is £6800.

What are your thoughts on the number of owners? Is this above average or normal for a 58 GT?

Speak softly and carry a big stick.

Office Chair.

I pay little attention to the number of owners in most cases.
I tend to think with a few people, when a service is due they perhaps just swap for something else. Certainly the case for expensive luxury cars.

Welcome back

4 owners then I wouldnt personaly, that said I may just be a little OCD.

Could be a sign of a friday car with endless gremlins.

I agree the Skoda was more a boat that a car , got rid in aid of a 156

Yes I'm thinking the same. I've also spoken to a garage to talk about getting the timing belt and water pump sorted as it's due. By the time I've got that work done and refurbed the alloys it comes to the same price as a mint Cloverleaf which has just had the timing belt changed and has had 1 owner.

Seems like a no brainer now.
