Discovery Turbo TV Channel right now.

Amazing how interconnected Alfa Romeo and Ferrari are. I never realised that Enzo Ferrari basically used rebadged alfas and one everything in the 1930s with them.

Virgin channel 221, Victory by design Episode 2

He was their head of racing for many years before going solo
The What car is it thread has thrown up some fascinating connections. Innocenti / Lada.( He built all the steel presses pre / post war ). Carlo Abarth's first business partner.... Rudolph Hruska ( of AlfaSud fame ) designed the Kubelwagen for Porsche

They weren't rebadged Alfa's They were just Alfa Romeo. Scuderia Ferrari was simply the name of the Racing Team, like Gulf Porsche or Marlborough Mclaren. So a Scuderia Ferrari Alfa Romeo is, and always will be an Alfa Romeo.

I well recall some dim presenter on a TV car show asking a famous collector what his favourite car was. On being told it was a Scuderia Ferrari Alfa Monza the presenter turned to camera, smiled sweetly and said that men just love their Ferraris. Famous collector looked suitably bemused.

Post war Enzo did buy up the lancia race team and rebadge their D50's as Ferrari.
