Not that uncommon, AutoDelta brought them in as well, sold as LHD. Superb 2.0 V6 engine, lovely smooth power giving 202bhp, have driven a couple examples, really nice!

Re: Turbocharged V6 GTV on Autotrader

I recently became aware that these existed looks like a deer way to get the same power as the 3L.

Now a 3L turbo charged now that would be fun!

Re: Turbocharged V6 GTV on Autotrader

3L turbo would be too much power through the front wheels. The 2L turbo can be easily chipped to 230bhp (Autodelta will do this for you). The balance of these 2L is also surprisingly good, better than the 3L. Clutch is also new on this one, sounds a good buy if all else is ok.

Used to be owned by GTVTurbo on here;

GTV turbo

I think it was recently on ebay as well... strange why such a nice car has changed hands so quickly (It is a very tempting price though...)

Are you sure about that - the 2.0 turbo V6 is the same engine as the 3.0 V6, only stroked differently, so I would have thought that it weighs more or less the same as the 3.0 V6...

2.0 V6 Turbo kerb weight 1430kg, 0-60 7.4 secs

3.0 V6 kerb weight 1415kg, 0-60 6.7 secs.

Also the Turbo came with the smaller front brakes and a 5 speed gearbox

2.0 V6 bore x stroke 80 x 66.2mm

3.0 V6 bore x stroke 93 x 72.6mm

Alfa brochure also says SOHC for each bank for the 2.0 V6 and DOHC for each bank for the 3.0 V6

'Working' from home today so just nipped over to the bookshelf to get some exact details .......assuming that the Alfa brochure is actually what went into the cars themselves

Re: Turbocharged V6 GTV on Autotrader

My Avatar is a photo of my 2.0 V6 TB.

Bell & Colville did indeed chop and change (C & C) a number of these cars, as they did once upon a time with the Spider.

I would rather drive a LHD in the UK than a C & C job with the wrong wiper pattern and a dubious brake linkage.

The engine will easily produce 230bhp and this can be done by anyone who has the ability to program - best done on the rolling road. The fuel consumption suffers dramatically and the difference in performance is not very noticeable.

Any more than 230bhp and you are looking at the usual nasties happening unless you make a number of mods!

Mine has bigger Red Dot drilled and grooved discs (came with the car) and EBC's GreenStuff pads. I recently managed just on 600kms on 54 litres dead which is just over 31mpg. This was on a trip from near Bristol to Poole then St Malo home.

The 2.0TB engine was supposed to have been built for reliability and to allow for the considerably cheaper Italian road tax charges applying to engines under 2.0 litres. Incidentally this is why you find so many cars with either 1.4, 1.6, 1.8 or 2.0 litre engines, as they all fasll into different categories. The 145/6 is a very good example of this.

[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Mia Bianca! I love her and not yet 30,000kms. I just can't let go! But if someone made me an offer I couldn't refuse..................

Yeah, it appears so, which is quite suprising really, although I guess 15kg is about the weight of a large lunch!!

I bet it has more torque though. Its probably closer to a 16V Turbo fiat coupe, than the rev happy 2.5 V6

I had a look around a nice one in Weymouth a few weeks back. It was LHD

My Coupe was parked next to it, and the guy came out and photographed our cars together.

The Turbo has about the same torque as the 3.0 V6 but much lower in the rev range - sounds like an interesting engine
