Re: Supercharged 156 GTA on Autotrader

nice innit?

Only thing is - if I were an authorised Alfa dealer I'd be putting reassuring info on there about where the job was done, warranty etc. - and not getting basic info wrong (4 door not 5 door etc.).

I hope someone here gets it - I want to hear tales of clutches shredded and Porsches put to the sword

I find it strange that there's no pictures of the engine bay on the advert.

like if it was an Autodelta job you'd have photos out.....etc. showing what a good job it is.

This would be a good Top Gear challenge - 10k, buy the fastest, quickest 4 door family saloon and drive it across Europe at silly speeds with some test track stuff chucked on the side.

mods allowed

Re: Supercharged 156 GTA on Autotrader

The conversion was done by Autodelta, the car is part ex and not with them yet so no detailed photos.
And yes I've expressed an interest

Re: Supercharged 156 GTA on Autotrader

I might have seen this car in the flesh I think as it was (is) Simon's who is p/exing it for a Brera 3.2S (which he saw at the Cloverleaf track day at Thruxton). However, his is Miro red, not Alfa red, but there can't be many supercharged 3.2s (most would have the Autodelta 3.7 conversion). Either way, this is potentially a great deal - as Swanny said, it's over 5K for the conversion.

Cheers,

Nigel

Yep thats the one.

The advert is inaccurate and the bloke I spoke to at Palmers Alfa was ill-informed. The price is incorrect and the car badly described.

I also spoke to the owner tonight and it seems like a great car with ALL the right mods (supercharger, diff, brakes and suspension) done by Autodelta.

I looked under the bonnet - you can't see the supercharger! All you can see is the additional oil cooler and some pipes. You wouldn't know it was there unless it was pointed out to you....

Cheers,

Nigel

Re: Supercharged 156 GTA on Autotrader

Swanny et al,
Yes sorry about the duff advert by Palmers, this is my car that I am moving on to fund my Brera deposit. The car is £10K without the supercharger (it can be transferred to the Brera) or £11.5K with it. I think that is a fair price for all the investment that I have put into the car with Autodelta, but I'm sure the market will dictate that.
Would love the car to stay in the AO fold.
Anyone interested please PM me.
Simon

I'd rather keep the 156 than swap it for a Brera myself.
