I'm depressed but glad at the same time

Tonight I said goodbye to my beloved GTV She has been with me for over two years and was a trusty if not pampered companion. My first son was a regular passenger and I had some great drives in her.

Took her to work today and washed/vac'd her out in readyness for tonight and will miss her.

We agreed a fair price and the GTV is west country bound. I have told the new owner to get registered here as soon as he can. He is an Alfa fan so I know she goes to a good home.

Anyway I bought a 166 in February which I love so all is not too gloomy.

The 166's are addictive.

You still need to get you're self a V6!

But I I bet that is hard with all those children your having.

I can really be bothered with the face lift it just looks the same as every other modern Alfa. I just want a nice 166 Super.

As for not having any more children you probably going to be in for a bit of a shock when you relise whats causing them!

I think we have all been caught drooling over that GTV at one point! I wish I had seen it in the flesh.

Re: I'm depressed but glad at the same time

sorry graham still feel bad about but you have gone one better now haven't you.

i'm not just saying it but that car was very good - proof that the fewer owners / low mileage cars are worth paying a little extra for imo.

stu - get rid of the puma and get the wife in a gtv you know you want to it's only a matter of time

Re: I'm depressed but glad at the same time

A GTV was my first choice of second car followed by a 145 cloverleaf.

After spending £880 on a belt change my wife has got it into her head the Alfa Romeos are expensive to run!

Women are so cute where do they get these ideas from?

Thing is we really don't need two cars at the moment. Its getting hard to justify the cost of the 166 and both there MOT's are approaching and are within two weeks of each other!

EEK!

Re: I'm depressed but glad at the same time

So far I've had 2 156's and a GTV, I would really like a 166 Super at some stage though,

No worries mate. The red GTV was never meant to be...a red GT will do in it's place I suppose

I'm just glad to be getting away from the 'having to clean every day' black cars for a while

Although looking out at my 147 now it does look the b******s. I will miss it
