Re: found something under my seat !!

Nope it sounds like the seat belt warning sensor

Don't mess with the cables it could cost you £60 to get a warning light turned off

If its the one with the button on the top then its the fuel pump cut off, the button resets it if it trips

Re: found something under my seat !!

I think you will find its the electrical connection to the seat belt pre-tensioners
In the case of severe accident a sensor activates all the air bags and pulls the seat belts tight - if you pull the wire and theres a loud bang, a smell of fireworks and lots of big white fluffy cushions filling the car, you will have to dig deep in your purse to put everything right - budget for at least £1500 lol

Re: found something under my seat !!

It's definitely the fuel cut off switch - pressure sensitive so it switches off the fuel in the event of a crash. I know this because mine kept tripping on my 2.0 TS (and I wasn't crashing). It was due to the battery being on the way out.

Cheers,

Nigel
