Italian domestic market model I think. They have very high tax penalties for cars over 2 litres. Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maserati have all made 2 litre versions of their cars in the past.

Yep only sold on the continent, not very special unless you tweak with them, met a chap who bought one a year or two back who took it with him to Denmark when he landed a job there, there a few You tube videos of the turbo if your interested.

Hmm I'm guessing that was the Golfer chap Martin Park!

Disagree with the *not very special unless* comment though!

Re: gtv 2.0 v6 turbo?

i was more curious about the fact that it is a 2.0 (twinspark?) with a turbo and its only producing 150bhp which the standard 2.0 twinspark does without a turbo

Re: gtv 2.0 v6 turbo?

I saw one a couple of weeks ago near weymouth. It was very nice, but LHD. I thought most of them were 200bhp from a 12 valve 2 litre V6.
I am sure it was a series 2 as it had a newer interior, but I might be wrong.

Neither, its a 2 litre V6 12 valve. The TS is 4 cylinder in line, the Fiat is a 5 cylinder in line. Although earlier Fiat Coupe's used a 4 cylinder in line, which is the engine that the TS was derived from.

2.0 V6 with a turbo, what a great combination and high potential for fettling!

I wonder how easy it would be to convert to twin turbo with a turbo on each bank of cylinders? That would be a good project..

Re: gtv 2.0 v6 turbo?

I think the power got hiked up to 220 at some point.
Also seem to remember there existing some RHD ones, I'm fairly sure someone on here got one not so long ago

Re: gtv 2.0 v6 turbo?

The 2.0 V6 turbo was only ever made in LHD: if there are any RHD ones about then it's a custom job, I think AutoDelta did a few.

The exact output of this engine is 202bhp. I've driven a number of these cars and they go very well indeed. They can be easily remapped to 230bhp. The only problem service wise is the lack of hydraulic tappets: the clearances need to be adjusted at the appropriate service intervals. Great engine though, super smooth delivery, so smooth you can easily misjudge as you approach the bends!

Re: gtv 2.0 v6 turbo?

..i have the same engine in the 164. lovely motor, and on overboost it produces more torque than the 24v 3.0 V6. bit moody mind, and the 6.5k redline feels way too early..!

Re: gtv 2.0 v6 turbo?

I thought it was Bell and Colville that did the 10 conversions to RHD. There is one on ebay for sale of those 10. I have the rear koni's off a dead one so that makes 9 RHD ones left.

There's a couple of chip people - dastek and squadra - that I know have gone in to the turbo'd cars ~240bhp Martin Park has a Squadra in his and I know of someone in the West Midlands with the Dastek chip with similar output.

Also one I know of that was turned into a 3 litre turbo that was up for sale recently from Scandinavia way. I was trying to find a link or two, but he did have a few youtube vid's as I recall...
