Re: What car and engine is this?

Looks like a 155 with a V6. Must have been a big impact to rip the engine out!

That's what remains of a V6 75.

Re: What car and engine is this?

Im sure 145 had no V6 option. Top model was the 145 cloverleaf with the 2 litre twinnie.

Re: What car and engine is this?

I was looking at the car more then the engine...

The doors look older then 156/147 but, looks 155/145-ish...

Might be a 75 like SP says...

Re: What car and engine is this?

looks like a 75 seperated from a V6 to me?? and those wheels look like the teles that you sometimes find on the 166, or even GTA alloys. He's a very lucky man to walk away from that like.

Re: What car and engine is this?

I thought 75, and I thought that was the V6.
But I wasn't sure enough about model, and I could see no chrome risers. Did the 75 V6 not have them?

Re: What car and engine is this?

I thought 75, simply because I don't see any evidence of the gearbox lying on the road attached to the engine Also I agree, definitely a V6 as it's clearly not the outline of a relatively tall and thin twin spark (also you can see two cylinder heads...)

I also think it was a 75, and it seems that the engine was mounted for a RWD configuration.

See, told you - look at the door handles. 100% 75, 5 stud wheels as on a V6 75 is another give-away.

If the impact was taken further back by the car, I'm sure the driver would have been seriously injured

Re: What car and engine is this?

Guy was lucky to get out of that in one piece - still it was awfully nice of him to give us a chance to stretch our minds in this thread and debate the twisted remains of his car for a moment.

Re: What car and engine is this?

I thought 75 too.

Horrible mess but the passenger cell appears very intact which is really good on such an old car.
