Where are they now, my old friends?

I'm wondering if any Alfaowner subscriber owns, or knows the whareabouts of, any of my old Alfas?

In order of ownership:
75 1.8 D689 RVW
75QV K690 MME
Sud 1.5 BJN 59T
75 1.8 D110 HMH
164 TS K528 MGF
164 24V Super N123 UMO

It would be nice to know if any are still being cared for, especially the Sud & 75QV (the Sud because it was a particularly good one and the 75 because it was my favourite)

zip onto the RAC website and you can do a basic car check on there for free.

It will tell you when the car was sold to the current owner and I think the last time it was taxed or something like that (maybe not!)

If no record can be found, its either in the great scrap yard in the sky or hasnt changed hands for a number of years but is not currently on the road.

Once you know this I think you can write to the DVLA and for a small fee can get all owners info from the day it was sold

good luck

Character is what you have left when you've lost everything you can lose.

Found this one.

DVLA Vehicle Licensing Online | Vehicle Enquiry

A bit worrying, a 164 I had that suffered a hard rear end shunt and was written off, is still on the road!

I've added what I found out from DVLA site to above. Pleased to see the 75QV on a SORN - hopefully it's getting some attention somewhere. Big disappointments are the 'Sud, which was one of the nicest I'd seen in years when I had it and I only sold it a couple of years before it seems to have expired, and the 164 Super, which I only sold in April last year and wasn't licenced from August. I hope it didn't come to a sticky end.

None of my old Lancias seem to be on the road any more. I know the Gamma survives as the guy I bought the 155 from knows the guy who owns it. Sadly, my last, a Thema, was scrapped for want of an alternator by the person I sold it to, who wasn't an enthusiast. I even saw it on the back of a flatbed on the way to the breaker; it was as much as I could do not to throw myself on it like a grieving widow on her husband's coffin.

My Renault GTA is on SORN. I've forgotten the plates on my X1/9 and Maser' 430 so couldn't check them. I'll have a rake around at home and see if I can find any old records. The X1/9 was a good one so I hope that's still out there.

So, now I've established a couple of the Alfas are still about, it would be good to know they are in the hands of enthusiasts. It'd also be good to find out what happened to the Sud and the 24V 164 if anyone knows.

Thanks for the link Mitch166
