It'd be even better if it looked like a regular 75.

What's the point? It's not an Alfa. Seems weird to pick a 75 to put such a ridiculous engine in.

Cheers,

Nigel

Why not? If you want that much power, lets face it, where are you going to go to get your "Alfa" motor done

And for the sort of money he paid for that cosworth motor too

14k for a 260bhp t spark? (thanks Brad)
10 to 20k for a 400+ bhp v6?

I can see why he did it, sacrilige or not

Aye - the point isn't for it to be an Alfa, the point is for it to be what it is.

Looks ace Engine transplants are cool in my book (if done properly and not by monkey the mechanic down the road)

Never said it was sacrilege, just said I couldn't see the point. If you want such a powerful engine, why put it in something that wasn't designed for it? I guess it's a feat of engineering and no reason why he shouldn't, but I still think it's a weird thing to do. A more interesting challenge in my view is to take what Alfa delivered and see how much peformance you can get out of the engine, chassis and suspension.

Cheers,

Nigel

i know exactly what you are saying..

i hada 68 lotus cortina, i sold it and bought a 67 cortina delux with a rover V8 in it..

the V8 cortina was faster, but the lotus was a far more 'together' car, even in a 60's car it was obvious it was designed to work as a whole...
