Things to do in traffic jams

Hi All,
Sitting in a traffic jam, very bored. Decided to have a race - between the card drawer and cup holder in my GT. If I release both at the same time the card drawer is the first one out, every time.
Anyone with a 147 or GT have a fast cupholder ?
Any other suggestions of how to pass the time in our traffic bound country ?
Cheers

Although they started out the same speed,
my 147's card holder fair shot out by the
time I sold the car.

I think the mechanism just wears out.

Re: Things to do in traffic jams

I remember on my stag weekend, a group of five of us lads in a car on the way down south, we got caught in awful traffic jams on a couple of occasions.
We combatted the boredom by throwing a 'greatest power ballads in the world ever' CD in the stereo and singing along at the top of our voices while throwing shapes.

Dunno why, but five grown men belting out Bonnie Tyler - Total Eclipse of the Heart in high pitched voices gets some funny looks.

I'm going to say... a drawer for cards...

Actually I have no idea. I drive a phase 2 GTV, so mod cons for me is a glove box and centre box.

What are these cup holders of which you speak? Be they witchcraft?

Ai'... they be a clever device to enable you to more effectively spill drinks all over the inside of your car... they are the work of the Devil Himself

It may also be known as a coin drawer, sits along side the cup holder, not much use for anything really.
Why any designer would put a cup holder in the center of the dash is beyond me, have no intention of ever using such a device. I am trying to think of something to replace the drawer/holder with.

Had some training courses West of London and from Kent it is probably easier to drive. 1 day in Bracknell, 2 days in Basingstoke and 1 day near Swindon.

I love my car but those 4 days were as much as I could take, I don't know how people do that every day in rush hour. I then got asked last Friday to go to Reading yesterday, and was told there was plenty of parking. As there is a train from Paddington that takes 25 minutes to Reading I chose that option!

card holder is fast for me too

a few days back, my classmate was in my car and messing around with the center console and said " hey, this thing opens fast!"

Eye the person in the car next to you suspiciously. With a look of fear, lock your doors. Also, wave at other motorists - if they wave back, offer an angry look and an obscene gesture.

Practice evasive driving techniques as if you were part of a close protection detail.

I have a habit of repeatedly clicking the 'lock' button for the rear windows when I'm in traffic

Wind down the window

Smoke too many cigarettes

Turn up the stereo

Sing along at the top of your lungs
