Re: puncture :(

Front edge? Well, if it's in the tread - the bit with grooves - it may be repairable. If it's in the side wall, it probably won't be.

it's right on the edge where the grooves end and side wall starts

Re: puncture :(

You'll have to take it to the tyre shop anyway fluffs and they'll advise if it's possible to fix, but it's a part of your car where you certainly don't want a weakness, especially with a V6 pulling you about!

Re: puncture :(

I'd say no.

They'll gauge it but normally if it's
near the edge on a low-pro it's
not repairable.

Re: puncture :(

Try looking for a place that does "vulcanising tyre repairs", they don't use patching, far better system .... they can fix more types of punctures.

Re: puncture :(

If the hole is on the edge of the trye do not get it repaired. The patch needs to have a flat surface to mount to the trye moves a lot at this point - its a blowout waiting to happen.
High speed rated tyres have limits on the amount of times they can be legally fixed... Not everyone complies with this though.
When you wake up in hospital (or worse ) after an accident how important would the £90 be????????
