Which Alfa's sell very well????

Hi all.

With thoughts of moving to the Alfa world as a sideline or second business im wondering what really sells well???
Which models are the most desiered, quickest sellers???

Need to be 3k upwards to make business sense really.

Ive got a real liking to the 147's (got a couple already, one for the miss'ss) but how well do they sell?

Everything i sell has always been PROPERLY described, in proper condition and with every concievable job done, so they are always the best around but without typical garage premiums. Usually selling for the same or lesser than a private sale.

Ive snooped at the for sale sections but they do seem quiet. I get an impression most people have an alfa before arriving here???

Any comments and sugestions much appreciated.

It's not really the best time to be selling cars.

Tax/Petrol costs as they are, combined with the credit crunch = hard sell !

Nice condition, well priced GTV 3.0 V6's seem to get snapped up fairly sharpish

...and well priced GTA's be it 147's or 156's seem to get a fair bit of attention on here

...but I reckon the GT JTD would possibly be the best seller at the mo due to fuel costs and road tax costs as Matt mentions above

Funnily enough the GT JTD's are still selling quite slowly, I just sold my GT JTD and I know someone else on here just sold theirs (long time and lots of price cuts )

As people can't afford the 10k plus prices of the GT

Re: Which Alfa's sell very well????

I think selling Alfas is not the best buisness to be in at the moment as its a buyers market.

I just went on ebay to look for a small engined runabout and the prices have risen a lot in the last few months.
When I sold my Fiat punto 3 years ago I couldn't get £500 for it, now similar cars are selling for nearer £1000. Thats probbaly where the money is to be made as everyone is downsizing.

Carlt I take it you have moved away from Fiat coupes now then? I remember seeing you sell stuff on FCCUK.

Only if you buy cheap and sell cheap, but tarted up, and with a tiny margin on profit. you'd need to be shifting seious numbers to make it worthwhile.
