Pudster... go for a drive in a 159 1.9 JTS first dude

Talk about having to wring it's neck to get it to go anywhere at half decent pace

Now that does sound very familiar - cant think who it reminds me of though

I got both my last 2 alfas from ebay. Both of which I did not actually do the transaction through the site, nor did I win the highest bid.

I contacted the members outside the auctions and bought them personally.

I'm not surprised really.. I think if I was gonna get one I'd wait for the 2.4 JTD 210, or at a stretch get the 1.9 JTD and fettle a bit..

i've seen a few 2003-2004 facelift models going for under £4k, even with low mileage. i fancy a 1.9jtdm veloce this summer.

Re: Getting cheaper now :)

The diesels seem to be holding their money well. I saw 156 20v JTDm's on eBay classifieds at £6,000 and that was over a year ago, they seem to have held steady since then..

Re: Getting cheaper now :)

Do you think its worth your while upgrading from your Twinny to a 1.9 JTDm? I assume you'll be looking at a facelift, 53 or 04 plate, 1.9 16v right? As you'll be looking at £5k or so minimum I reckon, and probably be lucky to get £2k for your Twinny..
