Alfa looking good

I've always been a great fan of the looks of the Alfa 156 I suppose thats what made me buy one.

The other weekend I went to a posh ball in my local town, its an evening when the most important people in business in and around Wiltshire attend. Also in attendance was the Lord Bath.

Anyway back to the car, I turned up in my 156 and I quickly noticed all the big posh cars around. Such as Audi's, BMW's and Mercedes amongst them and I just realised how plain and boring these looked compared to the Italian style and design. I was really happy to turn up in mine and proud how it mingled in and matched it with the big boys, couldn't get that in any other car.

What do you think!!??!!

Re: Alfa looking good

agree.

you must remember, Alfa Romeo is one of the most noble car manufacturers ever; it can hold its head higher and prouder than anyone else. Alfa is not brash, or shouty shouty. Class, elegance, style and good taste do not have to be expensive. Stylistic flair is an intrinsically Italian quality. It's part of Alfa's natural DNA, which is why they look so at ease next to more highly-priced cars. Style is priceless - not expensive ;-)

Re: Alfa looking good

I used to work in a large bluechip company... Always felt nice parking my Alfa in the car park.... amongst a sea of BM's Merc's VW's.... It felt nice to be in something different!

Re: Alfa looking good

Was in Belfast this evening and went for a meal in the posh end of town.Mine was the only Alfa in a street full of BMWs,Mercs etc.It stood out like a beacon amongst all the blandness and "me too" culture of either black or silver german boreboxes! Even my wife, who has absolutely no interest in cars other than a means of getting from A to B ( she once described a Yaris Verso as "cute" FGS!!) mentioned the Alfa was the best looking car there.

Re: Alfa looking good

Alfas are many things to people and beautiful is probably the best word I'd use to characterise them

Re: Alfa looking good

Yep, fully agree with what Scudetto and BigFoot said....

My 147 is now one of the oldest cars in our car park... but it's always been the only one that people regularly compliment...... you don't get that with a Golf or a Focus
