Don't buy anything from this ebay shop

I've just rang up the Evans Halshaw ebay shop to ask where my parts were and I've been told that they don't sell online anymore and that shop should have been shut down but hasn't.

I'm waiting for someone to ring me back about this, as soon as I know more I'll let everyone know. In the meanwhile don't buy anything from them.

This is the link to there shop:

Think it has something to do with they were Reg Vardy and are now Evans Halshaw, basically someones balls'd up somewhere and not stopped selling online.

Re: Don't buy anything from this ebay shop

Sorry it was too late for you, it was reading your post made me think I'd had enough of waiting and gave them a call.

They still haven't rang back yet, but as soon as they do I'll PM you an update, hopefully they should still have the parts and will honour the sales.

They should honour it surely, their name is on the ebay page not Reg Vardys

I did mention that to them about the name on the ebay shop being theirs. IMO I don't think they know who's doing what.

Think they need to change there website, says they are a fiat dealer and the picture on the page shows a lot of alfa romeo's

Evans Halshaw - Great Deals On Quality New Cars

(The direct link doesn't work so you have to click on the stockport branch view button)

Still haven't had a call from them!

If you have paid by Paypal I believe you can call back the payment.

Re: Don't buy anything from this ebay shop

I have begun the dispute and asked for a refund via paypal, it wasn't a lot of money, its more the inconvienience of the whole saga thats the crux of this episode.

Not Happy Heads up Evans Halshaw!

Just in case anyone is tempted to buy from these on eBay, don't. I bought and paid for a heat shield via PayPal, but when trying to contact them via internet was unable to do so. On 'phoning the 0161 number was given the run around until I was put through to a very helpful chap who said they'd all been made redundant and even though they were still listing items on eBay there was no monitoring of the system, he said none of the computers were working (and there was a big pile of Fiat/Alfa parts)! I now have the problem of getting my money back and Ebay are not interested until 10 days have lapsed from purchase date. This is not a rant, honest, just thought I'd save one or two the hassle!

Re: Don't buy anything from this ebay shop

Oops! I've just posted about this too. I've also read your feedback alimac (snap). They owe a lot of heat shields. I've not had a great deal of assistance yet from ebay and I tried reporting the problem, just got a standard reply.

Re: Don't buy anything from this ebay shop

I'm waiting for paypal to give me a refund, not going to waste my time with them. Been down that road, a service receptionist took my number and said she would get the parts department to ring me back, that was over a week ago and I haven't heard a peep outta them.

I posted a negative 'do not buy from' on their feedback, hopefully that may stop people from being ripped off.

I've done the same. I was told that the employees were informed on a Thursday that they were redundant from the Friday but were found positions within the group. There's a big pile of Fiat and Alfa parts in the middle of the floor apparently. Also no internet links.

Re: Don't buy anything from this ebay shop

Glad to see you and delboy posted on there feedback. At least you managed to speak to someone, I couldn't even get that far, they wouldn't even answer the phone the last time I tried.

Bit of a shame about the big pile of alfa parts, I'm sure a few people would give them a good home on here.

I'd make them an offer! If I knew I could trust them.

Re: Don't buy anything from this ebay shop

Just got a refund for the parts I bought, bit of a shame they aren't doing anything about all those bits they have. If I lived closer I would be down there like a shot!
