Dealer Warranty

Hi guys,

I recently bought a 2005 156 2.4 JTD from an independant Alfa dealer. The car had done 30000 miles when I bought it and had been serviced by the independant dealer. Where do I stand now with my main dealer warranty (not due to expire until September)? Will I need to get it serviced again at 36000 miles in order to maintain the warranty with Alfa?

Cheers

Re: Dealer Warranty

to maintain the warranty you need to get it serviced in line with the service schedule, taking note of the "whichever comes sooner" aspect of age vs mileage. look at the most recent stamp in your book, and make sure your next service is done before the time or mileage limit is exceeded for the next service.

Cheers mate, does the fact that it was serviced by an independant rather than a main dealer count though? If it does it effectively means that it wont need servicing again until 42000/12 months, but if it doesn't I will need to take it to the main dealer for a service at 36000 miles?

Re: Dealer Warranty

it doesnt matter where it was serviced, any VAT registered business can do it thanks to changes in the law, but they must have used the correct parts.

Re: Dealer Warranty

Correct parts being Alfa parts and always get the receipt to prove that they were genuine alfa.
