ZX1 Extralube Micro Oil

Just to let you know that I bought 2 cartons(250ml each)of this a couple of days back and I'm impressed!

I put the recommended 225ml approx in the engine, the little remaining from the first bottle in the power steering fluid. 50-60mls in the fuel tank and a little in the coolant to help protect the pump apparently. Can't get to the gear box fluid yet so that will have to wait.

So far the engine sounds less rough on cold starts, revs more freely and sounds smoother too. I also have less variator noise at start up when the oil runs a bit low.

As my car tends to use alot of oil, the product gives me confidence that even when it runs a touch low, even though I do top it up regularly, the ZX1 coating will help protect it.

I find that it makes it easier to put higher gears early too as there is less hesitation and smoother running, though I will try this again to make sure.

I will report back once the product's 'runs in' more as it works by coating metal when operating at high temperatures.

It's £17.99 a bottle in Halfords but I recommend it.

Re: ZX1 Extralube Micro Oil

I'm a big fan of ZX1 too and have been singing its praises on here for ages.

Did the GT on the weekend and the improvement in engine smoothness is really apparent after 4 days and 250 miles.

It starts really quickly when cold (it's been freezing up here all week & was -7 last night) and on the go it's ultra smooth.

At a cruise controlled 90mph on Wednesday night, economy was hovering around the 27-30mpg mark too

The Ti only has 4k miles on it but once it gets to around 10k it'll get the ZX1 treatment too
