Where do I get a GT?

I am living near Newcastle and am looking for a GT. Local dealer has nothing and went to Carlisle last weekend, nice car but not sure about colour. This weekend I am thinking of driving down to either Mangoletsi or CV Nottingham. Any suggestions which way to go?

Check out Western in Edinbourgh & Perth. They seem to have a good selection well priced.A few just below 36,000 miles though,so you would need to insist the cambelt was done as part of the deal

Used between 13K-15K. I can't decide on colour and need to see in flesh.

Western has a good rep and I can personally vouch for County Motors in Carlisle, who have been very attentive with me through the order, delivery and aftercare periods.

Re: Where do I get a GT?

Thanks for that. It sounds like I may be going North instead this weekend. Checking them out now. First impressions of County were good but they were a bit pricey. They have come back with a much better deal but I need to check out other options before commiting.

There is one on the old Vardy's Alfa site (now Evans Halshaw Ford) just outside of Darlington.

I noticed it a few days ago as I was passing and think it was a silver one.

Re: Where do I get a GT?

Thanks for that, i will recheck. They had a blue one, low mileage but I want leather, they also had a red one but looked like it had had a hard life.

Re: Where do I get a GT?

With your budget you should have lots of choice, but make sure you don't pay too much. There seems to be a big variation on prices for similar models.Even with Alfa dealers there can be £1500 difference for practically the same car, sometimes the better specced car being cheaper!!A GT MUST have leather IMHO,its that type of car,and to me,diesels not right either, although I can understand why people buy them.

Re: Where do I get a GT?

If you're willing check out Veloces in London. Ned at Autolusso sends his best P/Exs to them and they are all high spec examples -usually cars he himself supplied in the first place.

Re: Where do I get a GT?

Thanks everyone. I have spent many hours and many weeks looking for the right car. I finally make the decision to drive south, make an appointment with Nottingham Alfa for tomorrow morning and then decide to do a final check on Autotrader. What do I see but a 55 plate GT JTD 18" alloys and 24K in Fiat dealer 11 miles away. £13700 with 3 1/2 year warranty. Seen it bought it and a bit cash left to start looking for car for my dear wife. She wants MX5 I want her to get Spider. Never mind I am waiting for Monday night when i pick up car.
PS Some of these threads are the best cure for stress (short of driving the right car) that i have found for years (well at work anyway)
