Well Happy Auto Lusso Q2

I know there have been various posts on Auto Lusso but I just got my Q2 fitted a week ago by them and thought I'd share my experience. I am very pleased with the result of the Q2 and especially pleased with the service I got. There was a small issue after fitting but it was dealt with quickly and I was loaned a car so I couldn't fault the overall service at all. I'll be taking my 147 there from now on for service, I'm also hoping to get a suspension and brake upgrade soon too. Many thanks to Ned and his team!

Q2, Angel remap, CDA, Koni/Eibach suspension, Goodridge hoses, Wiechers strut brace, Xenon headlights, Alpine iPod/Bluetooth/Focal/Sub upgrade, Alfaholics mid and Supersprint tail exhaust, BMW flexi-antenna.

What was the small issue...would be interesting to find out as the next time I need a new clutch, I'll probably get it done too.

BTW - have any of you guys told the insurance companies about this fitment?

Re: Auto Lusso Q2

Found this article - and video - on the Q2 while I was doing some research for my dissertation last night, may be of interest Alfa Romeo / Innovations

Looking forward to needing a new clutch so that I can get one for the 156

The Q2 diff is well worth fitting, the issue we had was an oil leak from one of the gear box seals. Fixed it, happy customer job well done

You donít have to wait until getting your clutch done as you donít have to remove the gear box from the car.

Hey Ned, been meaning to give you a shout but been very busy. And to add to that have just spent my spare cash on a new TV. But roughly how much would you charge to fit a Q2 and change the front anti roll bar? My bushes are knackered on the anti roll bar and I have been advised that it is more cost effective to get them done together if you are cosidering the Q2.

Well, normal driving in traffic you won't notice much, but on twisty roads, on roundabouts and junctions is where it shows - especially in this cold and damp weather. You can now enter a corner or junction and boot it earlier on the exit - the traction control cuts in later if at all and it just grips. Good fun, just other traffic keeps getting in the way and spoiling my fun!!

Of course

If the Q2 or a remap were the only mods I wouldn't bother, but once the car starts to change in appearance as well I think they would look closer following a smash....

Ah, I had the same thing happen to my JTD after a clutch change, leaky gearbox oil seal. Unfortunately it can happen when replacing the driveshaft back in, it can catch the seal, or sometimes the seal will just be beyond its best anyway. I think I'd replace them as a matter of course if I got a job like this done on the V6. I would love a diff fitted, but 330mm brakes come first

You don't have to remove the gearbox to do a clutch change either, I don't know how BMC did it but they never removed the gearbox.. :hmm:

They'd never know a Q2 was fitted. Probably couldn't tell about a remap either, but in any case theres always plausible deniability.

Big wheels or whatever though, and its time to tell them.

Ned will defo be Q2ing our GT V6 before we head to Brescia in May for the Mille Miglia.

It's a safety upgrade using Alfa genuine parts so why would insurers worry

Hi Eddie, sorry missed your question.

To replace the anti roll bar and fit a Q2 we would charge you £650, I would have to confirm this as I am not sure about the cost of the roll bar for the GTA.

Re: Auto Lusso Q2

I've been noticing more and more occasions where I want a limited slip diff this week actually. Shame I can't afford it
