I miss owning an ALFA :-(

I have not owned an Alfa now for about 3 months, and its starting to bother me. I used to be a regular poster on here but now not so much as I feel like a fraud even being a member of these forums.
Im gonna talk with the wife about getting another AR in the spring.
Trouble is I want 1 thats as fun to drive as me Stilo, guess its gonna have to be an Alfa 147 GT? or something like. I joined the Fiat forums and performance stilo club but they pale into obscurity compared to in here. My stilo suffers with all the same problems as an Alfa, is as fun to drive and has real soul, However, im missing the Alfa Badge.

Re: I miss owning an ALFA :-(

i'm pretty much in the same boat mate, sold my 156 and now have a punto to run-around in, capable car but not quite the same
what about getting a 145 cloverleaf as a 'play' car, just for fun and pampering? they seem about as quick as a gta (did around donington at the aroc track day anyway) and a good one can be bought for a fraction of the price

Just to taunt you further, I just drove to sainsbury's and back in the cold with the window open and my stereo off, listening to the sound of my Alfa V6 engine as I ragged it up Uxbridge Road... I love it

Re: I miss owning an ALFA :-(

I know exactly what you mean.....I swapped my first 147 for a Stilo MJET. The Stilo was very good in so many ways (and went like the clappers!) but it wasnt an Alfa.

I sold it after about 10 months and now I'm back in a 147 (and happy!)again.

Good luck with the decision process!

Hey Phil, good to see a fellow Stilo owner on here, im currently deciding weather to go for the 2.4 Abarth like yours or a diesel. Trouble is knowing Bazza and his 156 GTA I do want an Alfa, just cant afford one right now!
