159 TI colours and passion

I'm due to pick up my new 159 TI SW in s.grey, so I've been reading the debate about red v grey v black with some delight. It shows a passion for design which I think is unheard of when it comes to more mainstream motor companies.

I also own a Ducati and the passion is very similar. The Italians seem to be on to something.

Re: 159 TI colours and passion

If they had had one, I would have had a Red Saloon over my Grey one. Red is my favourite colour. My stunning but now trashed 156 was Red - hence squadrone rosso

Black is lush - very menacing but a pig to keep sparkly

Grey looks really good too and I am (90&#37 happy with my choice of colour and 99% happy with my choice of car

Re: 159 TI colours and passion

The 159 chips badly due to the low vertical surfaces, so I didnt want another balck one.

The red Ti is a bit bling withg the big wheels and chrome mirrors, hence I was happy with grey, with red as a second choice.

Looking at it, I am delighted with the Grey, its enough - and not too much.

The Grey paint on my 159 is holding up really well. Only 2 small chips in 4K miles

How do the red calipers hold up i.e. scratches/corrosion? Also, my cars of old have always suffered from brake dust eating into the alloys. How do you think the AR wheels will fare?

My wheels are ALWAYS cleaned & waxed at least once every two weeks

Calipers seem fine too as long as whoever takes the wheel off is careful

Very few chips on my Rubino. Only marks are a couple on the bonnet and some fine chav scrathces from a car park. The scratches should polish out (when the weather is good enough )

Black for me, easily the most imposing.

Saw a black 159 going in the other direction on the A329, and I swang my head round so quick....very mean
