Any 164's for sale?

Hello all,

I am about to ditch my company car (I work for Ford) as I am fed up paying lots of tax to drive a boring car and want to grab a late 2.0 litre 164 - have seen one I like the look of but it's 200 miles away up north and the trains look like a mare - anyone know of any good ones in the south east? I would go for a 3.0 but this is going to be a commuting car so I want to keep the fuel sensible. I am in Essex by the way.

Thanks in advance

Darren

Good choice but 164's are few and far between now and a bit long in the tooth - Have you considered a 166? loads available and great value!

What is your budget?

I don't mind really - I will spend whatever I need to. Mind you if I am going to spend a significant amount then I would possibly go for a 2.0 156 veloce .... the problem with the 166 for me is it's looks. I loved the facelifted 164 though but as you say it's getting on a bit now. I have an MX5 that is for sunny days and wet roundabouts (!) but I do like an alfa. I had a 156 some time ago and it was pretty good. I fancy 4 doors as it's going to be my 'sensible' car you see - hence also the decision to go for a 2 litre and not the full house V6. I have noticed that 166's are out there for peanuts though....

I'd look for a 166 if i were you. The 164 is very dated now although a great car in its day
