Alfa 6 for Practical Classics feature

Hello all,

I'm looking for a good Alfa 6 (preferably a Series 1) to star in a 'twin test' for Practical Classics magazine. Its owner would need to willing to bring it along to a photo-shoot (date and location TBA, but these can hopefully be arranged around the cars' owners to some degree).

Does anyone know of a suitable candidate?

Best wishes,

Sam

Very rare the Alfa 6.
Charlie Skinner of Cloverleaf transmissions in Cumbria has one, but I dont think it works.
Have you contacted the Owners club?

Strange choice of car if I might be so bold, as its so blinking rare its hardly a choice really. There are probably only four or five in the country.

Why not make it a 75 where there are still a few about in reasonable nick, and you can have 2.0, 2.5 or 3.0 engines. Its a much more Practical choice (geddit ) and a better car to drive than the 6, with less rust issues....and you can still find bits for the most part.

Just my 2 pennyworth

Thanks, but it has to be a Six.

Any idea who might own these elusive few?

Not very practical if you can't even find one!

Good Luck

The owner of Ferdi's garage in Lytham St Annes had a virtually concourse Alfa Six a few years ago. Unsure if he still has it, but he may be able to help you track it down if he's sold it on. The car was a frequent visitor to AROC events.

Alfa 6

Dear Sirs
dear Alfisti
My name is Massimiliano, 43 y.o. and write u from Milano, Italy.
I am a big ALFA 6 fan and had 4 in the past, all series.
Writing, with the help of Alfa Romeo Archives, the first book concerning ALFA 6 1979 - 1987. The last 100% Alfa prestige saloon.
Any info from UK will be very much appreciated and a lot of things I can tell you about this unlucky car.
Hope to read from you any input, comments or suggest.
Also looking for all mags, brochures, technical docs, press kits and recent magazines featuring this car at any level.
Eventually interested to buy one of the surviving UK Alfa 6.
Thanks for yr. support.

ciao / best regards

Massimiliano

Yep, Ferdi still has his car - he is happy to bring it to shows, but I'm not sure if he'd be up for taking it for a journo to try.....he's a busy man - a complete Alfisto, tho.

I sold my Six to Chris Cousins - but he's just sent it off for restoration work. I know of another (in orange!) which was bought from a friend of mine by a guy in W Yorks, but he seemed to vanish off the scene after he'd agreed to buy mine as well......
