I've only gone & done it.......

I have a build slot for May for a new Brera cant wait.

Spent over 3 hours with Craig (top bloke) @ Mangoletsi this morning. Tested the 3.2 JTS Brera Q4 Qtronic -WOW really impressed with it and that sound !! then took out a 159 2.4 JTDm Manual, again really impressed with the engine and handling the Torque of the 2.4 is amazing. Speaking to Craig the 2.4 JTDm is/will be available with the Qtronic box but only as a 2 wheel driver version. The Brera gets the vote but decisions desisions.

3.2 JTS Q4 Qtronic or 2.4 JTDm Qtronic

Misano blue wih Blue/Tabacco Leather

Any mods or the Boss watching I might need to change my username again!!

That Brera pic looks ace! Good choice.. Doesnt the power go up on the 3.2 after the factory re-start? Think its 300 bhp and a few other changes

The brera in that colour is amazing.

If you can afford the petrol get the v6, you should get the new high output engine with 300hp

if you go to Alfaromeo.com - Starting Page and choose Italy as the country, the new site appears - its very much like the new fiat uk site and is coming to the uk soon according to Craig at Mangoletsi.

That is good, it did need some more welly if it was ever to become a viable alternative to the 210bhp JTDm, which can be mapped up to 250bhp, maybe more.

Does anyone know how the power is distributed in the Q4 set up? The engine is mounted 'the wrong way', like in a FWD car, so I'm assuming the front wheels recieve more of the power than the rear?

standard is 43% front 57% rear can go as much as 80% each way

Thats the dilemma...

Both are superb engines the 3.2 JTS for the grunt & that sound the 2.4 JTDm the torque kicks in around 1500rpm and just keeps going!!

Also on the Contract Hire deal the JTDm is £100 a month cheaper

Heart, Head & Pocket are all involved

To me the questions answered with the final line. 2.5months savings will pay for the lovely people at Red Dot (other tuning companies are available !) to work their magic and transform your 2.4 JTDm into the car it should be when it leaves the factory.
