Can anyone help with the idea of these size wheels

They won't fit. The P.C.D. of the bolt holes on the GTV is 5 x 98.

Re: Ferrari Alfa Wheel Quiry

You could get away with a PCD of 100 using "wobbly bolts" from what i have heard.
No chance if they are 108 though

Re: Ferrari Alfa Wheel Quiry

aha.. thats gas..
yea, Ive seen them on ebay US.
roughly around $800
plus I'd imagine another $600 or so shipping..
A rear 10 inch width really appeals to me..
These wheels are nice too don't ya think..?

Why so wide tyres on the rear though? Won't that just cause you to understeer like a *****, if you'll forgive the expression?

As I was about to say - what's the point in wider rear wheels on a front wheel drive car?

Re: Ferrari Alfa Wheel Quiry

Cant see why you would want them on a alfa anyway

edit to say they look good on the car they were made for

Re: Ferrari Alfa Wheel Quiry

Ah, if they would fit, I'd try them out that's all..
The centre caps could be sorted.
Meanwhile check out this Gizmo.
An Infill G4, 2 Din DVD Navigation Unit.
Quick ideas of what the unit can do can be found on youtube.
Very nice piece of equipment altogether.

Re: Ferrari Alfa Wheel Quiry

OR a light weight wheel like this..
I like the idea of the look from the rear of extra wide tyres..
So you guys would not recommend something like 18X9 for the front and 18X10 for the rear.. I think that would look nice.. although very expensive. Or I could go as small as 18X7.5 on both or something..
Any remaining thoughts out there on this one..?
Nice wheel but probably best of £1500 without tires shipped to Ireland..
Regards

Re: Ferrari Alfa Wheel Quiry

Larger contact patch at the back + all the power at the front = back sticks more than the front = understeer

I wouldn't recommend it, no. Plus it would just look silly.

Top tip - have 4 same size wheels

Re: Ferrari Alfa Wheel Quiry

you can get the fezzer style wheels in alfa fitment (or 100pcd/ w-bolts i forget) from wheelbase, or somewhere like that. i think they are on ebay aswell and not overly expensive.

here you go :

Wheelbase - official ACE, DeCorsa and Konig distributor in the UK

18" DeCorsa CO18 Alloy Wheels with Tyres on eBay, also, Wheels with Tyres, Car Wheels, Tyres Trims, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 20-Jan-08 22:00:00 GMT)

Re: Ferrari Alfa Wheel Quiry

bit of a pointless thread then isnt it

personally they might actually look good on a gtv that has been lowered, but it takes all tastes.

Lick Re: Ferrari Alfa Wheel Quiry

AH, but that sexy image makes it all worth while..
Whilst your on the topic, should one go for Koni shocks when upgrading??
Ive read that messing with ride height on GTV's is
not recommended..
Thanks for the help on the wheels though..
I'll leave it another while..
These ones here are gun-metal grey,
same as the car..
