Ops did someone mention changing a timing belt !

Hi,

I failed to replace the timing belton time and have suffered from results. Went 36k and she gave up.

I have the head off and being sorted, but need to buy Gasket kit, head bolts, timing belt kit and possibley replace the variator if I am correct.

Can you help and recommend were to buy as cheap as possible and any other help.

Should I think about replacing the clutch or anything else ?

I have a 156 1.8 ts 2001 with 136k miles

Cheers

Most if not all of the parts will be available from Shop 4 Parts

Sorry to hear this.

I too have used Shop4Parts - they are good. If the clutch is working ok then leave it alone - you won't save any time replacing it whilst the belts are being done - different end of the engine.

Paul.

Ooh! I have a head gasket set for a 156 1.8TS going spare, part number 71713631. If you can confirm this is what you need then I can sell it to you for a discounted rate relative to shop4parts. Also got a cambelt kit (belt + tensioners), an aux belt (no aux belt tensioners though), a set of 8 spark plugs, a variator head bolts and a clutch kit.

PM me if you're interested
