Thumbs Up Lucky day!

Got stopped by the Feds this morning (overtook an unmarked car)When they put me in the back of their car-to show me the evidence- the WPC explained that they had timed me for just over a half mile and my average speed was 80.3 mph in a sixty. Can't believe this was true as I didn't at any point (while they were following me!) exceed 80.Anway, she then explained that only she and not the other copper in the car was trained in the use of the speed gun thingy and therefore I was just getting a warning Absolute result!

remember kids - it's not big and it's not clever!

If she said "it's me or the Alfa" would you miss her ?

Re: Lucky day!

I was let off for doing 65 in a 50 on my way home from work in the early hours one morning.

The copper said 'I'm aware that it's 3am, and there's no other traffic about. Obviously you'd not even consider such speed during a busier time of the day, would you?'

'No officer, of course not'

'Then [censored] off home and get to bed' was his amusing response

So there are some good coppers out there

Well that's tosh. You don't need two Officers present to use a VASCAR.

Re: Lucky day!

I got a "don't do it again" look from coppers as I went past them at about 2am after breaking from about 60 to the 40 speed limit near here.

I was sh**ting myself that they were going to follow me and absolutely kill me, but nah. Presumably because the road was deserted, it was chucking it down and they couldn't be bothered they didn't.

Looks like we both got away with it!

Re: Lucky day!

30 past the limit is normally a ban, however i was extremely lucky coming out of cardiff one night.... almost 120 in my 182 clio on the m4, saw some lights coming pretty quick in the mirror eased off didn't touch the brakes and a copper went past me whilst still doin' just over a ton. can only assume he was on a shout---very lucky indeed. drive alot more casually now!!!

This is core when coming up to police. If you put your foot on the brake you might as well wave at the police and tell them what speed you were doing. I don't understand why people brake, when all you have to do is take your foot off the gas and drop it down a gear to slow down... without alerting the BiB.
