Re: I think this chap's telling porky pies...

it could be good for someone who could fix it up it does have potential, but not at that price, 800 quid max, well from me any way

but doesnt this engine have only 225 bhp?? cant see it going to that power with so little modds! 100 bhp jump for a flywheel?? little far fetched!

Re: I think this chap's telling porky pies...

Its 210BHP. Top speed of 145 ish on a good day...and the wife evidently made a good decision to go on the basis of this crap. Wheels apart, mine was as good or better than this.

Bet it hasn't had the cam belt done...but thats not important as long as its got a didgery do lightened resistor flywheel KFC air filter..YO!

170 mph

That would make it the fastest production Alfa ever built

But he's brought one of those whizz bang superchup power gizmos off e-bay for £30 which has upped it to 325bhp

Over 100 extra bhp from a chip?! No way. I'd want to see the graphs from a dyno before even thinking that it could be true.

This guy's a fool.

Looking at the area the car is coming from I will surprised if those alloys are still on it when the winner comes to collect the car.

Re: I think this chap's telling porky pies...

It's at £100 at the mo'. If we assume it's a more or less standard car with big wheels on it, it would be worth a punt at that money.

She was obviously dissapointed by a few other things he over exagerated about aswell.

Looks more like a rover than an Alfa, judging by the engine bay I would believe anything he has said. If you really spent that much on the mods then you would expect it to be looked after

Re: I think this chap's telling porky pies...

The guy obviously doesn't know what he is talking about. Have you seen the latest update? He states the original figures were wrong and it should have read up from 248bhp and the 2 litre was 210.

Even besides all that the car does look a bit rough around the edges.

Re: I think this chap's telling porky pies...

I asked him if he could send me the stats for the superchip and explain where the 115bhp came from. All he would say is it definately does 170mph as he has driven it that fast.
