Re: Dodgy?

Well as you are all probably well aware, and sick to the teeth of hearing it, ours is an 01/2 on 12,000 miles, pretty much as new, and I would expect more than that, should we sell her.: Could be genuine I suppose, but seems too smooooooth an ad. to me .:

That is way too cheap!

If something sounds to good to be true, it probably is.

Re: Dodgy?

Why dodgy? Just a bargain - Bad time to sell, maybe just pricing at what they have been offered as trade in value or possibly been damage repaired. Can be many reasons - Ask if you are interested! Probably £2900 initially but reduced to £2500.

If anyone is interested then ask all the right questions and get an HPI or similar report.

Get round there Graham P, looks like your neck of the woods?

Buying cars is a tricky bis, you should allways trust your instincts.

If it's on your doorstep there's no harm in looking

Re: Dodgy?

At 28,000 miles, should be a fully traceable history, seeing is believing?

No phone number either to call

'Why dodgy? Just a bargain - Bad time to sell'

I'd like to think that was true but I don't think you'd undersell your car by about 1500 quid

Re: Dodgy?

hmmmm to be honest that is one car i would check out and if it added up would snap it up. there are lots of people out there who are a bit silly. although to be honest, the way it is written and the photographs make it look like its a bloke that buys and sells crash damaged cars. but if its all above board that shouldnt be an issue either.

Oh look the ad has been withdrawn. For those who thought it may have been a real ad I think you may need to go back to the school of the naive and have a few more lessons

I'm going to email this guy and find out the score. I'll expose it before you can say "naked" if it is a scam.

Re: Dodgy?

Yes! good luck with the sleuthing: When we went to look at her 147, we had a few apprehensions, as it was advertised as, 7,7000mls, one lady driver. Turned out trumps, almost perfect, but like I said, seeing is believing, with a keen eye for detail.:
