Considering a 156 GTA????

Hi All,

After over 4 Great yrs of owning a 156 2.4 JTD (Re-mapped), i am considering a GTA model.

Has anyone got any buying advice, regarding any problem areas that i need to be aware of!

Thanks in advance

Yup, even sitting in Chris's GTA SW at Auto Italia was boner inducing... I keep eyeing them from afar but with my recent double whammy on the insurance it's a no no for quite some time

I can't wait til I can afford a GTA - although by that time I'd hope that the GTs might be affordable...

Two words - "Buy one" - or even better - get a 147 GTA ; )

(Only kidding)

You won't look back!

There was a buyer's guide set out in a recent edition of Evo magazine, and there is some info on it here:

did you notice after i drove it i had to stay sat in the seat for a few minutes whilst my "excitement" subsided and that was about 100 yards on grass in 1st gear

i can't think of anyone on here who has a gta and isn't completely in love with it (apart from bazza of course who is completely in love with rio ferdinand). BUY ONE BUY ONE BUY ONE!!!

Re: Considering a 156 GTA????

But one, you won't regret it.
anti rollbars and wishbone bushes do go, but don't they on other 156

My antiroll bar is overdue, but my car is just a weekend toy. All you get is the odd klonk every now and then.

Other than that, it is the trusty alfa V6 under the bonnet so pretty reliable. Be aware of the brake upgrade on post 2003 models, worth getting one with that but mine has the smaller brakes, and despite what you may think from some posts I am still alive despite not having the better stopping power.

Had mine 2 and a half years now and no intention of selling yet, I don't think there is anything out there that ticks as many boxes as the GTA.

Yes, actually.. I've got two interested parties, just trying to get a deal ironed out.. It'd be a shame to let it go but at the moment it seems so much easier to sell than the JTD. Ideally I'd like to get rid of them both and get a Porsche 944 Turbo, as I've been after one of those for ages and I'm getting to the stage where I might be able to afford one soon.

Yes he did, when it was cold..........

Thats probably why she's been in a mood with me for the last 6 months and made me spend so much money on her

My advise would be BUY ONE BUY ONE BUY ONE, or maybe even TWO.
