156 interior specs

Currently looking at prospective 156's. Have seen interiors advertised with "leather seats" and "full leather interior" is there a difference? Also, is there a difference between "cloth" and "alfatex".

Re: 156 interior specs

I should have posted this on the 156 forum so will ask the question there as well.

No difference between leather seats and interior - all cars with leather seats got leather door cards too. Alfatex is quite a nice cloth material, but they also did velour seats and a weird corduroy material seats in the earliest 156s.

Re: 156 interior specs

My interior is a nice material , its grey with a nice diagonal self coloured stripe across with "Alfa Romeo" embrodiered in the backrest. Feels really smooth its not the velour. What is it?

Got any pictures? Or can you find a link to another 156 (Autotrader, eBay?) with the same seats?

Virtually identical mate, i must admit they are very nice fitting seats as well. Toying with the idea of fitting leather but i had leather a few years back and didnt like the cold in winter and bloomin boiling in summer.

Re: 156 interior specs

I found out what the trim is as i have the original Alfa 156 sales brochure. It is the standard cloth trim, its called "Fenice Cloth Trim", imho its better than velour which i think is very dated on cars. Any of you italian speakers know what "Fenice" means?.
