Help Engine Warning Light - Questions...

I had a "Motor Control System Failure" couple days ago.

The Engine Warning Light was lit continously.

I've plugged my PC into the Diag Port and read the code from it.

The fault is: P0238

ProScan decodes it as "Powertrain: TC Boost Sensor Circuit High Voltage"

I did not use the software to turn the lamp out.

A few more starts after and the light is now off, and the car doesn't come up with the "MCSF".

So my Question is this.

The fault is still stored in the ECU, (I've checked since the lamp is now gone), but does this mean the "fault" has now gone away as the lamp is no longer lit, or does it do that after so many starts ?

If I were to clear the code from the ECU, and there is still a fault, will it be displayed again.

I'm trying to establish if it's just a glitch, or is an ongoing fault.

H E L P !

if the light is out the fault is not occuring. if you clear the codes and the fault shows up again the code will reappear. i would clear the code and hope it was just a one off hiccup.
