Hmmm engine warning light

Hi,

i have a 156 1.8 t-spark and love it

But i have a recurring issue with the engine light.

When it is raining heavily, or I'm in traffic in the wet, after a while the engine light comes on.

It stays on for a while ,then, apparently when whatever it's sensing disappears, it goes off again.

It's been into the garage, but of course when i arrive at the garage when the car is restarted to move it up to the computer, the bloody thing has reset itself, and all is well.

any ideas

Re: engine warning light

I think that the EMU keeps a log of all faults, regardless of whether they are intermittent like yours. The garage should therefore be able to look back and see what was happening.

Probably something like a lambda sensor, although I guess it could be some dodgy wiring if it is only happening in the wet.
