How much to do a timing belt on a GTA?

Looking at various GTAs on Autotrader and Pistonheads, I notice a lot of them havnt had recent belts etc. done.

How much would it cost to do belts, tensioners, waterpump? (whatever it needs)
Is it reasonable to ask for this off the sale price?

Re: How much to do a timing belt on a GTA?

I'd say it is reasonable to make some adjustment if it's within say 10k of the scheduled change at 72k, or within a few months of 5 years.

Definitely negotiate if it's very close to the time or miles limit. Maybe walk away if it's overdue - there are plenty around.

Change all the idler and tensioner rollers along with the cam belt, water pump, aux belt and aux idlers too. As to cost, I don't know - I did my own on the 164 so it was parts only plus some tools.
