What oil for Jtd?

Hi I have an alfa Gt 1.9 jtd with 205.000km.So far I used selenia 5-40wr.Do you suggest any else type of oil?maybe something better?

If the engine runs fine don't change it (I mean the type of oil).

I use Fuchs Titan GT1 XTL 5w40 in my GT JTDm - very good oil for the price. Not good for the later 1.9 JTDm engines though (159/Brera) as I don't believe it's a low-ash formulation... Not so good for DPFs...

Have a chat to the guys at Opie Oils and see what they recommend.. They'll come back to you with a range of good quality oils at a range of price points.

These aren't fussy engines (in the 156/147/GT). 5w40 fully synthetic is the spec (ACEA C3 I think from memory). However what I will say is that you need to change more often than every 12,000 miles. I do mine every 6,000 which might be overkill but oil is cheap, turbos are not.
