Crazed Diesel injector cleaner

What's the diesel equivalent of putting some paraffin in the petrol tank?

I've heard people swear by a dash of 2-stroke oil.. but that's for the top-end, rather than the injectors, isn't it?

A dash of paraffin alright for the injectors is it, or will that break something?

It is true that petrol injector cleaners are mostly paraffin, but that is just the carrier for the active ingredients, the paraffin itself does nothing.

2 stroke works great.. Doesnt clean as such but adds lube.. And lets be fair when is lube a bad thing?

Just make sure its the low ash stuff.. Makes its so much smoother and quieter

do you have any trubble with you injectors? for instance high correction times or rough idle?
or is it just something you wan't to do?

i did have seriouse problems with the injectors in my 156... correction was all over the place so i had them regenerated by bosch. Befor that i tried several injector cleaners.... none did anything, apart from emptying my wallet.
Stay away from that stuff, if an injector is faulty you could always buy a used on on ebay, clean it - test it, will work in most cases.

To clean the injector nozzle i used wheel cleaner for alloy wheels (some green stuff, which does not attack the metal it self).
Remove injector, and let it's nozzle sit in the cleaner for a day or two... bingo like new . I would not let the whole injector sit in any cleaner - who knows what will happen to the sealings if you do that...

Selling a Brembo Upgrade for 156's, Project Mu Pads (New) and fitting brake lines (new).
