Engine swap

Due to bottom end failure next weekend I shall be swapping my v6 for a different one. I was just hoping somone could take a look and tell me if there is anything else I will need to complete the job.

I have;
1 x engine
oil
coolant
socket set
hoist
jack and stands
oil filter
spark plugs
aux belt (any special tool needed to tension this?)
exhaust gaskets
engine top mount

other items:
front passenger wishbone
exhaust back box

Re: Engine swap

I'd stick a new clutch in while the motor is out as well.

I'd second that.

Otherwise, get a 3.0 V6 and start again

Re: Engine swap

Well definitely get a clutch kit in there anyway. Its not an easy job to replace one when they fail. I see on the V6s a lot of them have clutches done around 90K.. What milage is yours?

Re: Engine swap

Massive oil leak caused by smacking the sump on something. Was repaired by the previous owner but the bearings have gone again.
