36k Cambelt change

Was wondering if someone could do me a favour and list exactly what needs to be done at the 36k cambelt change ie what belts etc as i'm not taking my car to Alfa to have this done, I just want to make sure all the right bits are ordered?

Any help would be really really appreciated

Re: 36k Cambelt change

Need to replace Cam belt, cam belt tensioner, idler, balancer shaft belt, balancer shaft tensioner. If you are 'paranoid' then replace the variator as well The one in my 147 2.0 has lasted 65k miles so far without any noise??? but others have had problems,

Re: 36k Cambelt change

Thankyou that's a really helpful list

I've also been advised to change the Rocker cover gasket and if i do the variator i will need 2x cam seals aswell

Thought that extra info might help anyone else needing to know

Ihad the belt, tensioner and variator changed at 30k by JCS just before we took delivery almost 3 years ago...
The bloody variators dieseling at cold start up despite only doing 16 k in the time, regular oil and filter changes, and the 'changed ' variator was left in the bbot at my request..

Well, you're due for another cambelt change anyway, so it's only going to cost you an extra 100 quid or so.
