Re: Cambelt kit or just belt??

You MUST change the tensioner as well as the belt every 36,000 miles or 3 years, which ever comes first.

Often the bearing in the tensioner can fail resulting in the cambelt being gradually worn away and snapping.

Re: Cambelt kit or just belt??

i ALWAYS fit a kit (alot more expensive than just a belt i know but its piece of mind)
And if a kit isn't available (my 24v v6 engine), i'll get the neccessary rollers/tensioners etc from main dealer, and if the belt isn't too extortionate i'll get that too! if not i'll get a Gates belt from a motor factor
