Any decent 10w 40w semi-synthetic oil will do.

If you're at a Shell servo, Helix 15-50 will be OK.

The service manual specifies 10w-40 or 10w-60, so either of those is ideal. If yours uses oil, go the 10W-60.

thanks all....A salesman from Alfa Romeo in Australia suggested me to buy Castrol Formula R 10W-60 but this has been rebrand into Castrol Edge Sport 10W-60. Do you think it works?

Castrol Edge Sport 10w60 or Castrol Edge 10w60 would be fine too.

to be honest i use the fairly cheap old halfrauds 10 w 40 semi synth as it never stays in the sump long enough !!!
1 litre every 1800 miles

That's what I've used in mine since the 1st service. I buy it in 5-litre containers from Autobarn or Repco whenever they have 20%-off sales. Last time I looked RRP was ~$70. I use 4.4 litres for the oil change plus have a bit left over for first top-up

Mine seems to use oil, so I'll be going for the 10W-60 next. Though I just bought 5L of 10W 40 Mobil super S
