Timing belt change

Hi all
Has anyone changed their timing belt on a 1.9 jtd their self.Do you need cam locks or any other special tools and how awkward a job is it
I'm reasonably compotent and try to do all my own maintainance but modern cars are getting so tight in the engine bay and so complicated that i'm slowly giving up.
I've changed belts in the past the last being on a 33 which has 2 belts and it was no problem.
Cheers for any advice

Re: Timing belt change

you never need locking tools, all you need to do is lock the crank and make cam marks. stick a screwdrvier in the locking tool hole to engage the flywheel gear, or if you feel daring stick it in 5th gear AND mark the crank pulley just in case (as it can move a bit if you use gearbox to lock crank). then mark both cam pullies. use tippex for making marks. easy peasy
