I've got a 2004 147 1.6 ts Turismo which has been a great car so far but has just developed a really bad vibration when I lift off the accelerator at speed - well say between 50 to 70. It's not just a little wobble but a real judder with the steering wheel and gear stick shaking badly. I've taken the car in for a wheel balance but this has not solved the problem so am assuming there's something wrong with the engine. Does anyone have any ideas/had similar probs/does anyone know of a good garage in the Manchester area.
Any advice would be great.
im not quite sure what problem you have there. i had a viabrating problem on my 2.0 147 but it was like a (tinging) noise at 1500 revs. however i can tell you the best garage for italian cars is Motormech in birmingham! All my family goes there hence we all have italian cars! they are fantastic every single problem is no object for them!
it's at the garage as we speak, they've already diagnosed a broken anti-roll bar but haven't identified the cause of the vibration yet...that comes tomorrow when they take it for a motorway test drive. Got a feeling this is going to cost me mega bucks!!!
