Re: Stripped the teeth of timing belt, please HELP

At best several valves, probably some valve guides. At worst all the valves and the guides. In some cases even crankshafts and pistonscan be damaged but not usually. depends a lot on how fast the engine was running at the time but even at idle expect several valves to be damaged, if at high revs at the time then expect most the valves to be damaged.

Think all the parts are dealer only parts.

My commiserations on the damage to your car.
It won't be a cheap job to put it right again

Most (120 BHP) do - only the 105 BHP ones don't - not sure that they were sold in Britain 'tho.

Don't forget you can get reconditioned engines fitted and guaranteed for little over £1000 and your knackered engine in exchange on eBay... Worth a look at least.

They might need some valve guides. Depending on how badly the valves were bent, they sometimes crack the guides. And they can also be damaged when trying to bust out the old valves.

Make sure they replace ALL the tensioners and don't just whack a new belt back on. It will have been a seized one that stripped the teeth.

They might need some valve guides. Depending on how badly the valve stems are bent, they can crack or chip, and getting the old valves out can sometimes cause damage to the guides as well.

Make sure they replace all the tensioners as it will probably have been a seized one that took the teeth off.
