Help 1.9v 16v JTD P0238 (logs attached)

Hi, I've been struggling with this P0238 (Turbo Overboost) issue for a while now.

A local private mechanics changed the vnt vaccum solenoid to start with.
But I realized that he didnt replace it with an original solenoid (looks completely different) , so a new is on the way from ebay.
He also told me to change the turbo actuator which i did today but after that i got even higher values in boost pressure.
I have also cleaned the EGR & MAP sensor.

I get the MCSF (P0238) usually in 5th or 6th gear in low revs or when pushing down "too much" on the gas pedal.

Also the car drinks a lot of fuel, around 8L/100km or 35MPG(UK). Even tho the on-board comp. says 6L/100km (47MPG).
I will try Wynns diesel formula gold along with the EGR spray to clean up the enginge and turbo.

Im posting the logs I took today and before i changed the actuator. The picture where boost pressure i yellow is from before the change and the pic with boost pressure as green is with the new actuator fitted.

Any thoughts on this?

Greetings from sweden!

Looks to me like the actuator isn't having an effect on the turbo.
I think you need to adjust the actuator to give lower boost to start with. Have you changed all the vacuum hoses from the pump to the turbo? If not change those first.

sticky vnt cartridge. not uncommon, the turbo need removing and the soot/rust cleaned out so the vnt mechanism can operate freely.

After the EGR cleaning spray i get around 43MPG too!

check the boost (actual vs desired) again, and make sure you're not underboosting now.

Why was the actuator changed in the first place?
